Spring Knitwear
Hi friends!
With a new week ahead, I wanted to start things off with one of my favorite outfits this spring. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with all things yellow. Though typically, I feel like my wardrobe is very neutral, but there’s something about wearing yellow on the cusp of spring that is simply sublime.
Last week, I found this little spot in Palos Verdes where the vegetation was busting with color. I wore my handmade mohair top that I knitted last year and thrifted white Levi’s. It’s been a while since I’ve picked up my knitting needles but I do have something in the works. Overall, I’m still really happy with how this top turned out and I can’t wait to share my next knitting project with you!
One of the things on my to-do list is to catch up on all the latest fashion shows. My feed was swarming with fashion show content from London, Milan, and Paris these past couple of weeks.
Though fashion content is so easily consumable on Instagram, I like to make a list of the fashion shows I’d like to view then set aside a time to watch everything all at once. This way, I can focus on one show at a time rather than quickly skimming through everything without having time to process each collection. The only one I managed to watch so far is the SS 22 show called “Le Splash” by Jacquemus. It felt like a really short show overall, but it felt so impactful.
If you’ve read my previous blog posts, you know that I am a huge fan of Simon Porte Jacquemus. Both beloved and hated in the internet space, there’s no denying that his designs speak to many but maybe miss the mark for others. Playful, colorful, and youthful, Jacqeumus is a world that evokes the joy of being present. It’s a world that touches on genuine community; an open invitation to be enjoyed for those who choose to appreciate it.
