Vintage Style: 1 Scarf, 3 Ways to Wear

Here I’m going to share with you three ways to wear a vintage scarf. There are ENDLESS possibilities, but these are the ways that I found to be the most wearable. Also, the style may vary depending on the size of your own scarf. The scarf I’m wearing is on the larger side and made from silk. Since my torso is quite long, I prefer to use a longer scarf.

Style #1: Mermaid top:

First wrap the scarf from behind so that you can hold each end of the scarf in your hands. Then pull the ends of the scarf towards the center of your bust and tie together to form a small knot. Pull up the remainder of the scarf towards your bust and tie the remaining ends of the scarf behind your neck.

Style #2: Handkerchief Bow

This is by far the easiest style to do. Depending on the size of your scarf, you can fold your scarf in half before wrapping the scarf behind your back and tying the ends in the front of your chest. Basically, this style is like the mermaid top only you don’t tie the scarf ends around your neck. Note, you can also tuck in the remaining ends of the scarf to style more like a bralette.

Style #3: Backless Top

Start by opening up your scarf then tie the top two ends around your neck. Repeat with the bottom two ends. If you prefer a more cropped style, you can tie the bottom ends around a higher section of your waist and allow the excess length of the scarf to drape over.

There you go! Three ways to wear a scarf and I’m sure there are many more as well. You can also accessorize your favorite handbag or pair of pants with a scarf to elevate your look. Have a lovely weekend!
