Style: Cotton Prairie Dress

I’m still kind of in denial that it’s Fall. There are some days that feel like Spring again and others that feel too cold to do anything. Granted the threshold for which I can function in a diverse assortment of weather is slim. That’s what happens when you grow up in SoCal your whole life.

I thrifted this beautiful cotton dress at Crossroads in Culver City. The dress has a really light and soft texture to it and I feel like this dress has a story to tell. The dress feels handmade and delicate. I even had to re-sew the lining back into the waistline of the dress since it appeared to be tearing off. Of course, I don’t mind a little labor of love. My favorite part of this dress is the petticoat skirt after all.

To complete the look, I paired the dress with a pearl headband from Anthropologie and my mother of pearl sculptural handbag from Cult Gaia. I got this bag at one of their few sample sales and it was so worth it.

Are you still not over Summer? What are some of your favorite transition outfits for Fall?
