Dec 20 Thinking of Paris

I’ve always had a soft spot for Paris in my heart, but this past week it’s completely taken over my life. After my latest attempt to bake Pain au chocolat, I thought naturally I should enjoy my croissants by setting up a picnic outside and so I did. With my Ladurée tea bags and new milk frother, I set up a little picnic in my backyard to enjoy the sunshine and take in the joy of a successful weekend of baking.

My picnic outfit consists of a vintage silk slip dress and a dainty knit sweater from Anthropologie I got years ago.

Thanks to Instagram, I’ve become friends with a lovely girl in Paris. As a special surprise, I painted a small postcard to mail to her. It’s small things like this that make me feel so grateful for social media. Throughout the years of creating Ella Kol, I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to collaborate and connect with so many passionate creators who share my love for fashion.
