Sephora Collection Clean Beauty

Sephora Collection Clean Beauty

The clean beauty revolution is here and it’s very much here to stay. If anything, the clean beauty movement has become an essential part of the beauty industry as more customers demand transparent formulas with plant-based and vegan ingredients.

Overall, my personal skincare routine is minimal. My evening routine consists of simply cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and a serum. Every other day, I exfoliate. For the most part, I haven’t had too many issues with the skin on my face. Other than the occasional hormonal pimple and seasonal flare of eczema, I feel very lucky to have relatively low maintenance skin. Skincare is an extremely personal journey and I understand some have a more difficult journey than others.

With skincare and wellness being interconnected, I do try to approach beauty in a holistic way through hydration, sleep, and exercise. After all, skin is not all about what’s on the outside but what’s on the inside. When it comes to skincare products, to me less is more.

Recently, I was gifted a few staple products from Sephora’s Clean Beauty Collection. Made with plant-based and vegan ingredients, every product is formulated with naturally effective elements with an accessible price tag. With everything being under $20, this collection is truly clean beauty for all.

Nourishing Moisturizer:

Nourishing Moisturizer (left), Brightening Eye Cream (right)

A light-weight daily moisturizer that helps lock in hydration without being too greasy.

Noteworthy Ingredients:

  • Avocado oil

  • Marula oil

  • Rose hip seed oil

Pros:

  • Lightly scented. The best way I can describe it is almost a faint citrus scent.

  • Non-greasy. Doesn’t feel like it’s clogging my pores, but I would like to use something heavier in the winter. My skin is on the drier side.

  • Packing is made from recycled materials.

  • Affordable. Great deal for the price point.

Cons:

  • I wish the product came in a larger size. Since this cream is on the lighter side, I tend to use a lot of it and ideally it would be great to have something bigger than two ounces.

Ultra Glow Serum: Glow + Strengthen Vitamin C Serum

A dewy finish to any skincare routine.

Noteworthy ingredients:

  • Natural Vitamin C and E

  • Natural Peptides From Marine Algae

Pros:

  • Smells so good! The scent is light but it kind of smells like fresh grapes. According to the full ingredients list there are two kinds of extract: Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract and Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, which probably explains the delightful smell.

  • Gentle, non-greasy formula. The feel of the oil is light. Personally, I think this oil is better suited for the day since it feels like the formula is absorbed quickly without sitting on the skin’s surface for too long.

  • Affordable and solid quality.

  • Made with recycled packaging.

Cons:

  • To me, this is a day facial oil. Depending on your skin type and your skin’s oiliness, this oil might be too light for you. I tend to only use facial oils at night, in which case I prefer something a notch heavier, but this one still has a solid formula with nice results.

Brightening Eye Cream: Hydrate + Depuff

For after a long day’s work and treating your skin to a little extra.

Noteworthy Ingredients:

  • Caffeine

  • Hyaluronic Acid

  • Mudar Plant Bark Extract

Pros:

  • Light scent and light non-greasy formula. Even though I don’t typically use eye cream, I think the feel of this cream is calming and refreshing. It has almost a cooling feeling when I apply it to under my eyes.

  • Affordable. Most likely one of the most affordable clean eye creams on the market.

  • Made with recycled packing.

Cons:

  • I don’t have any cons for this product in particular. Since I don’t use eye creams, I don’t have a lot to compare this one to, but I will say that the formula is on the lighter end which may or may not be ideal for your skin type.

If you’re overwhelmed with choices or don’t know where to start when it comes to building out a custom skincare routine for yourself, the Sephora Clean Beaty Collection is a great place to start. Each product is super affordable yet still has the feeling of being a little something extra to your skincare routine. Made with recycled packaging in travel approved sizes, each product can literally go with you anywhere to help you feel amazing in your own skin.

As always, thank you so much for reaching and I would love to know your thoughts on skincare, beauty, and your latest product obsession.
