My first visual video, Aesthetics in Motion, was inspired by the romance and simplicity of Summer. I used an old white sheet as my backdrop and props like flowers and a painted fan. I wanted the overall look to be as clean and simple as possible so that the slo-mo camera could capture every detail of motion. Most of these still shots were taken on my phone using the self-timer. It just takes a few tries to get the framing and the angle just right.

Overall, I’m super happy with how it all came out. One of my favorite trends is anything silk. It’s such a light fabric and I love how it shimmers in the sun. The brands Are You Am I and Réalisation have perfected the ultimate Summer silk dress and I absolutely love both brands’ aesthetic. I would say my ideal state of being is simply wearing a vintage silk dress like this and frolicking in a field of wildflowers. Since my access to such a field is limited, this will have to do!
