Get to know the girl that no one's heard of...

I always get jittery right before a photoshoot.

There's something about the rush of creative juices and adrenaline that makes photo-shooting so fun. To bring creative ideas to life is quite literally like making dreams come true.

For morale support and general good vibes, I brought along my friend, Aileen, whom I've known since the entirety of my existence. After all, it really does take a village to produce a perfect shoot. Hair, make-up, styling, and social media doesn't just happen so I usually do everything myself. This was my third shoot with the talented Jimmy Bazan at his studio in downtown LA, right above Santee Alley and here are the results:

The photoshoot consisted mainly of three looks:

1. A typical editorial/blogger shot in the streets of LA: This look consisted of a faux suede skirt from LF, Pepsi branded crop top from Zara, and a vintage fringe jacket. I loved shooting outdoors. There was a couple moments when people just wanted to photobomb our shoot, and I was perfectly okay with that.

2. Elegant Glamour with a Modern Twist: I wore an off the shoulder top from Zara and a blue, floor-length skirt from Anthropologie.

3. Whimsical Beauty: I made the teal choker myself and paired it with a lacy croptop. The lighting of this shoot was filtered and dark, but I love how it captured a sense of curiosity- kind of resembling a modern-day Alice.

It wasn't too long ago when I had caterpillar eyebrows and a large amount of stage fright. Naturally, I consider myself to be an introvert, but there are very specific situations where I suddenly find myself at the center of attention. Usually these situations are well rehearsed, controlled, and consist of large amounts of personal space. But instead of writing a long-winded entry about my life's story, here are some fun facts about me that may or may not be embarrassing to admit:

Fun Fact #1: I hate salad. Unless it's fruit salad or a bowl full of croutons, I don't like almost any kind of salad.

Fun Fact #2: I didn't like my big lips when I was younger because I thought they made me look like a fish🐠

Fun Fact #3: When I was in high school, I met Oprah and it was glorious.

Fun Fact #4: Aileen (my friend who came to the shoot with me) and I have known each other since we were three #friendshipgoals

My favorite beauty shot by Jimmy. A model's beauty lies in the eyes of the photographer.

As always, thank you so much for reading. Comment/like/share and go out there and stay classy (and maybe a little bit sassy).
