Afternoon Tea at Ladurée
One of my favorite things to do is have afternoon tea. Ladurée is one of the most iconic and decadent places for dainty macaroons, pastries, and sweets of all kinds. I remember when I went to Paris for the first time, my friend and I made it our mission to visit the world-famous Ladurée on Champs Elysées Avenue. Though we were rushed, I managed to purchase a few macarons and a recipe book as a souvenir. Little did I know then that I’d develop a huge passion for baking in the future.
During my most recent visit to Ladurée in Beverly Hills, I was joined with my dear friend Prathyusha who also shares my love high tea. When I last checked, they didn’t take reservations, but there was plenty of outdoor and indoor seating when we arrived around 10am.
The best part of Ladurée is the ornate decor and glass case featuring macarons in every color. I just love to see what new flavors and pastries they have in store. There’s something about macarons that I just find so charming. After my many failed attempts at making the perfect macaron, I truly appreciate the labor of love that goes into producing perfectly crisp yet fluffy macarons.
Ready for tea~
For Afternoon Tea, I decided to wear my recently thrifted linen Reformation dress. To complete the look, I brought a vintage Gucci shoulder bag and wore my favorite white kitten heels.
I’m so happy with my latest thrifted pieces. Discover my full thrift haul here.
Ladurée Coffee, Tea, or Hot Chocolate
1 Pastry (your choice from the available options)
2 Pâtes de Fruits
3 Macarons (your choice of flavors)
3 Sweet Biscuits
2 Finger Sandwiches
Overall, the afternoon tea experience was divine. Ladurée also serves breakfast, lunch, and light dinner options as well. Tea, pastry, and macarons were delicious as to be expected but I think the sandwiches and total presentation could have been better. Typically, afternoon tea includes scones and a selection of finger sandwiches. Ladurée was a bit more scaled back and limited in these categories.
Thank you for joining me for afternoon tea at Ladurée. I hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed eating. Until next time, au revoir!
