DIY: Raspberry Jam
Tastes like Summer.
After picking raspberries and blackberries at Underwood Farms, I wanted to try to make my own jam. Based on the recipe I found at Delish, all that’s required to make jam are your freshly picked berries, sugar, and lemon, so that’s what I did. I used about one cup of sugar (you can use less if you want your jam to be less sweet) and about a tablespoon of lemon juice. See the photos below to see my full process:
Step 1: Gather and wash berries.
Step 2: Gather ingredients. One cup of sugar. One tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.
Step 3: Add sugar and berries over low heat.
Step 4: Add lemon juice and let jam simmer.
Step 5: Let jam simmer until sugar is fully dissolved and jam starts to thicken.
Step 6: Pour jam into a glass jar and let cool before refrigerating.
There you go! Fresh jam perfect for scones, toast, or yogurt. The perfect Summer treat :)
