Sakura
In celebration of Sakura, Cherry Blossom season, I painted cherry blossoms using face paint.
There is a simple beauty about cherry blossoms. Their purity and light pink colour has inspired artists and cultures around the world. My particular fascination with cherry blossoms stemmed from my Japanese heritage of course. Also, a couple days ago, Snapchat featured Japanese citizens celebrating the cherry blossoms blooming and it caught my eye. As living and breathing people, I believe that humans are naturally drawn to nature. We belong in it. We need to be apart of it 24/7. All around nature inspires art, culture, fashion, and music; it is a part of us. With that in mind, remember to keep a little slice of nature with you all the time. Whether it be a succulent, beta fish, or little watercolor painting, little slices of nature can bring you little moments of joy.
