Sweet Nothing
Hi friends!
A few weeks ago, I met up with my friend Fanny and her boyfriend Connor to take some pictures near Exposition Park. It was an usually gloomy day and I was feeling chilly walking around even in long pants. We originally planned on shooting in the rose gardens but with such little sun, we eventually moved towards one of the buildings to find a cleaner backdrop.
Eventually late in the afternoon, we were lucky enough to get a few glimpses of sun peeking out from the clouds. More often than not, there’s a little bit of spontaneity and randomness when it comes to shooting. I try to plan outfits around current trends or styles that I’m drawn to and Fanny will usually pick a setting that she feels is strong for her photography. But of course things like weather, wind, and sun can’t always be planned for so that’s where I love improvising.
For these photos I’m wearing a thrifted top (no label) and thrifted Tibi pants. Shoes were gifted last year from Reformation. Now can we just talk about these sleeves! I love the shimmery and textural effect of this fabric. It feels incredibly romantic and I love the way the fabric appears to flow together.
A little BTS from our spring shoot :)
Fanny in her element and wearing all the best vintage of course.
A vintage babydoll coat I borrowed from Fanny during out shoot. I love the little embroidered roses on the collar.
This sums up my latest blog post! As always thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit of context behind my latest shoot. Modeling and shooting with friends is a hobby that I keep near and dear to my heart. It never grows old and I absolutely love sharing the results of my creative adventures with you.
xx
