Beauty Review: EADEM

Beauty Review: EADEM

Where do I even begin with my new obsession with EADEM? As a POC founded brand and recipient of the Glossier Grant Initiate, EADEM (pronounced ee-dem which means same or all in Latin) is a skincare brand that specializes in for beauty for people of color. Clean, effective, and ultra-luxurious, EADEM’s Milk Marvel Dark Spot Serum is made to help fade hyperpigmentation and refine skin’s texture.

My review of EADEM’s Milk Marvel Dark Spot Serum:

Pros:

  • Formula: Fragrance free and non-oily. Though I do enjoy lightly scented products, I love that this serum has no scent at all. The formula is light and highly moisturizing, so it’s perfect to use for any time of day. I typically apply the serum at night after cleansing and moisturizing.

  • Ingredients: Forget all the bad stuff like bleaching agents and chemicals. The Milk Marvel Serum is made from all the good stuff like Amber Algae (to fade dark spots), Licorice Root (to brighten the skin), and papaya/pineapple enzymes (to gently remove dead skin cells). See the full ingredients list here.

  • Packaging: Sublime. For under $100, this serum feels so luxurious. From the elevated glass bottle to the slightly angled dropper, the founders , Marie Kouadio and Alice Lin clearly thought of everything.

Cons:

  • None. Overall, my skin texture is pretty good even without the help of the Milk Marvel serum. What interests me the most in this serum is if it can help remove some sun spots that I have on my face (AKA probably sun damage). I’m not really sure if this product is formulated to do that, but so far I have enjoyed using this serum. If anything, my skin feels very moisturized without feeling oily.

Thank you so much for reading my latest review! Many thanks to the team at EADEM for gifting me this amazing product to try and for welcoming me into the EADEM beauty community. I’m so excited to see the beauty industry finally creating products by people of color for people of color. This is the future of beauty and I can’t wait to see what EADEM creates next.

xx
