Hello there,

The Broad

The Broad

When in LA, we take IG worthy pictures next to art we don't quite understand, but pretend we do anyways...

Originally, I had planned on going to Malibu to help Xia, one of my oldest and dearest friends, with her photoshoot. But when we woke up at 6am, the weather was so grey and foggy, so the photographer decided it would be best to reschedule the shoot. Off on a spontaneous note, we decided to haul up to LA to visit The Broad. Here are snapshots of our adventures:

This is my excited face...cute right? After waiting over an hour in direct sunlight, the AC felt like heaven.

Lunch at Bottega Louie, which has the most luxurious spread of French macaroons I've ever seen in LA. Also, that third girl on the end is Kim and she's totally awesome.

I'm sorry, am I drooling?

Rookie Tips for Visiting The Broad

  1. If you can, get reserve ticks in advance. I've never been able to, but if you can it will save you lots of hassle.
  2. If you don't have advanced tickets...GO FREAKIN EARLY. We arrived around 10:30am and we still had to wait for over an hour before the museum even opened.
  3. If you're going in the Summer, bring a parasol or umbrella. The staff will go around handing some out, but if you're not friendly to heat (like myself) then bring your own. Also water, bring lots of it.
  4. Some people brought cards and a portable stereo to listen to while they stood in line. I rate their preparedness a 10 out of 10. After all, it can get boring in line.
  5. Bring a portable battery pack so you have plenty of battery life to take photos.
  6. The museum is actually only two floors of exhibits, the second floor doesn't really have much to see, so it's not as big as it looks.
  7. I've been wanting to see the Mirror Room, but by the time we got in, we would have had to wait four hours just to see it.
  8. VALIDATE YOUR PARKING AFTER.
  9. Kill it with those IG photos and share it with all your friends who are missing out.
