Sometimes I feel like I'm a walking cliche... so then I cut my hair, change my lipstick, and internally overcompensate for everything I think I'm not.
Living in LA is a multidimensional experience. I'm sure you already know all the stereotypes like how all people in LA are fame-obsessed, shallow, artist-types who are aspiring to be either a producer/actor/model or a combination of all three. It truly is the land of possibility despite all the juice cleanses being over-priced.
I once saw a girl, no older than myself, driving in a adorable vintage red convertible wearing over-sized black sunnies which match her pocket-sized dog sticking his head out of the back seat. She looked so posh and so happy. At that moment, I looked over to my friend and said, "I want to be her". She turned and looked back at me and laughed, "Of course you would want to be like her". She just looked so effortlessly stylish like an old post-card before Instagram was a thing.
Anyways, all I'm saying is that LA is full of visionary people with wild dreams and aspirations. Talent and culture oozes out of the city borders like a freshly shaken up bottle of champagne. But no matter where you are, or who you thought you were, you can change all that and be whoever it is you wanted to be. This is the dream and dreams are especially made a reality in LA.
